Validation Error on New Install and Image
Hi, I am trialling and keen to move to Advanced Workstation, I am currently installing this software for clients, but have yet to create and run the backup tasks as I am still setting up the hardware.
But at home I ran into the following mysterious issues that have no known answers.
I attached the log, and highlighted the lines of interest, the validation tasks are there as a series of failures also, as it kept saying the password was incorrect, but when I placed the user credentials in the advanced settings it seemed to not make any difference.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Sean.

It writes about 'Password for protected archive is incorrect.'. This may happen when you validate vault that contains password-protected archives (the password that is on 'backup options' on password and encryption page, not access credentials)

I don't understand, can you elaborate?
I placed the password into the Default backup and recovery options, I checked the password for the User in the Backup task, and it had been reduced to 2 characters, is that normal behaviour? Even when I replace the password, it does not seem to take it, it always reverts to 2 characters, are 2 of my characters in my password not allowed? They are used in my windows log on password?

> I placed the password into the Default backup and recovery options
So now you have password-protected archive. It will be used for backup creation but it will not be used for validation or restore task. If you create archive validation task, you will be promted for its password and it will be used. If you create vault validation task (do you?), you will not be prompted for it and the archive will not be validated.

Password for 'run task as' ? It has nothing to do with archive password. It is always displayed as two characters when you edit task, if you don;t change it, it will not be modified.
