Vault not accessable at this time. BA HUMBUG!
B&RSBS
I was having trouble completing validation on a scheduled backup. As a result I stopped the backup, but Acronis kept changing the status of the task to waiting instead of idle. This despite stopping all Acronis services and rebooting the Server
As a result I deleted the specific backup to start over.
Trying to recreate a backup plan I was unable to select the location from the previous plan or EVEN ANY LOCATION ON THE NETWORK!!! I kept getting a warning "Vault not accessable at this time". I rebooted the server twice and still the same response. I could create a vault, but when I tried to access that vault I received the same prompt.
The only solution was to restore the Server C drive (where B&R is installed) to the day before the validation failed. Now it is working.
Bottom line. Serious problem in accessing Network folder personal vault if an active task fails to complete and the task and plan are deleted. You cannot backup if you have no place on the network to backup to!
Please pass this on to the developers.

Hmm I can't seem to get Quotes to work, never mind - to the OP. Did you delete the vault location from within ABR10?
I have experimented with a something similar and found that if there is any reference to a previous vault, ABR gets all confuddled. Also if you change the location of a vault, but keep the task - ABR10 assumes this is a completely new task set (using Tower of Hanoi alg) and will ignore any of the previous sets.

Hello all,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]
Colin,
It looks like you can reproduce the issue. Could you please delete manually the following files and see if the issue remains?
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\ASN=> ASN config
+
the vault database .fdb located at the database folder you specified during the vault creation.
Howard,
What is the exact moment of the program failure?
Thank you.
