VM backup fails and cant remove snapshot

Thread needs solution

Hello, I have one vm that the backup is failing on. It gets an error at the end saying Awaiting task RemoveSnapshot has failed

So i ended up remoting into the Acronis Appliance with the backup manager software. I was able to cancel the job. I then went into Vmware, right clicked on the vm in question and went to snapshot manager. I deleted all snapshots.

I tried running the backup again and I noticed something weird. I had vmware client open. The acronis appliance said it was reconfiguring vm and then rebooted the acronis appliance, at this point the backup was stuck and I had to cancel it again and then remove the snapshots again.

So i browsed out to Storage of the VM, I noticed multiple files in there such as
gpp-adv_1-000001.vmdk up to gpp-adv-1-000008.vmdk (gpp-adv is the name of the vm)
There is also a
gpp-adv-Snapshot4187.vmsn file
and also a bunch of zdump files such as
vmware-vmx-zdump.000

Should I remove these files, or is there a chance there still tied to the VM?

The other VM's on the vmware server are backing up fine.
Oh im running Acronis Backup & Recovery Virutal Edition 11
Vmware ESXi 3.5 Update 4
Thanks for any help
Mike
