VMWARE and Acronis Backup and Recovery

Thread needs solution

This is the scenary:

I create a VM with vmware 7 and create a backup in this Virtual Machine with Acronis Backup Workstation Boot disk.
when i try recovery in other real machine appear error in windows (the system is windows xp pro sp3) error 0x0000007b. that is only a test lab but in real case i've a windows 2008 tib's file and appear the same problem. I thought, this problem is the corrupt tib file but isn't.

nobody know about "How put vmware machine tib in real machine with recovery"
I know about Universal Recovery but ever the same error...

The problem is missing drivers for hard disk controller. You may try to change disk type to IDE in both vmware and physical machine (legacy mode for sata drives in bios) or use universal restore with hdd controller driver for the physical machine .

Dev-Anon Thank you for you answer...
I can tell you about the process... i select in acronis to use Universal Restore. In this case is a lab test so, no problem but i have to do it in real case with other OS. How can i find information about universal restore? beacuse i downloaded the user guides but explain very light this case. I need something more solid information.. how, where, step by step. like tutorial... can you help me?

R.Aparicio,

If I may reply for dev-anon, we have a knowledge base article that shows each step for recovery with Acronis Universal Restore, you can find it here.

If you need anything else, please let me know.

Thank you.
