The advanced version uses a Windows agent so all backups can be done central. The nomal version works as a stand-alone.

I just would like to confirm that Acronis Backup and Recovery Advanced Workstation and Acronis Backup and Recovery Standalone Workstation are similar in functions. The only difference is the presence of remote control features: Standalone version doesn't have it.

So with Acronis Backup and Recovery Advanced Workstation you can install the Agent onto the remote machine and manage all the processes remotely. With  Acronis Backup and Recovery Standalone Workstation you can manage local machine only.
