Where is the advertised Exchange backup functionality?
We have purchased Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server SBS Edition.
Acronis advertised it supoose to have Exchange Backup functionality.
However there is no Agent for Exchange in the installation package.
Also there is no option to correctly backup Exchange.
The information does not get any notice about full backup.
As result, information store can never complete maintenance (db transaction cleanup).
Currently i have switched to Windows ntbackup to correctly perform Exchange backup,
In Acronis 11.0 backup for Exchange is still a totally separated product, called Acronis Recovery for Exchange. With SBS Edition you should have a separate download and product key.
This is what we have purchased directly from Acronis website:
"Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server SBS Edition Standard + Universal Restore"
I cant provide you snapshot of the product description page for 11 as it is already removed, but clearly remember that
Exchange backup was included.
I have never received any additional key for "Acronis Recovery for Exchange" or even opportunity to download it.
There seem to be some misconception of what Acronis has advertised and what the custonmer get.
Well, we now moved our Exchange into the cloud, so the problem is fixed.
