Which would be the correct product for us?
We are Managed Service Provider supporting and maintaining IT systems for over 150 customers.
These range from small 1 man bands to 50 users sites to 500 users across multiple sites.
The systems these customers user range from Single SBS server (2k3 and 2k8) to multiple servers running full Windows Server OS (No Unix/Linux).
What we are looking at is offering Disaster Recovery solutions, whereby we replicate their server(s) off-site to our offices, so should the worst happen we can grab their image and a boot disk and go down restore them back to how they were.
So are requirements would be:
- Must support all Windows Server OS's
- Would be used only for full server restores (not individual files, databases, exchange etc)
- Reliable FTP capabilities, where the originating site would have ADSL as their comm's (very few of our customer have leased lines).
- Central monitoring of these images so we can make sure they are all up to date easily from one location rather than having log in to each site to check how the software is doing.
- Incremental updates, so we are not having to send a full image up the line every day
Thanks in advance for advice.

Hello Darren!
Welcome to our Forum and thank you for finding time to join us! I completely understand your scenario and will be glad to help you!
According to your description you will need centralised management, that will allow you to check the backup process on all machines instead of logging into every location. In this case you will need Acronis Backup and Recovery Advanced Server.
I would advise you to test the solution before making a decision. Trial version can be found here. It is full-functional and has no limitations except:
- 15 days of work
- Trial bootable media can restore only
All the information regarding its functionality is available in the User's Guide, as well as Installation and Quick Start Guides.
According to the Acronis License Policy you will need one license for one computer your are going to backup or restore. Since you will need more than one license, I'd suggest you to use a discount, which can be obtained from Sales Department. They have volume licenses as well, and will be glad to handle your request personally. Should you decide to contact them directly, please, send me a Private Message with your phone area code - this will allow me to find a Sales representative, responsible for your area, and forward you his contacts.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!
