why are there so many volumes ?

Thread needs solution

I'm currently trying to recover my 750GB HDD which has unallocated space and contains one important partition where i backed up files previously, but why it's showing volumes every 8-9 GB ? How do I know which partition is labeled as 'backup ' ? I know it was around 305 GB

On EaseUs recovery it showed partition labels, but Acronis doesn't. I don't know which is safer to use, the one that shows labels or Acronis with unknown volume capacities... I dont want to lose any data, it's very important.

Hello Rudolph,

You posted this in the Acronis Backup & Recovery forum, but the screen-shot shows our Recovery Expert software.

So first I just want to confirm that we're on the same page here: are you trying to restore an Acronis backup or recover a deleted partition?

If you're recovering a deleted partition, could you clarify how it came to be deleted?

Concerning your question:
- Our product does show labels (you can see the empty column for it) if the partition had a previous label.
- The screenshot shows a bunch of old Linux EXT4 partitions that were deleted some time ago. Does this make sense? Was this disk ever part of a Linux machine or NAS or something like that?

Thank you.
