windows 7 x64 recover to dissimilar hardware boots only in safe mode
hello, like described, I restored a windows 7 x64 from desktop pc to laptop samsung p210 .
and now it starts only by safe mode. starting with normal mode cause a reboot, without telling me the cause, no bsod, only reboot, even "auto system reboot on bsod " is set to off.
one time it started normally, first time after recovery, but after auto- installation of specific hardware drivers of laptop (such chipset etc) and reboot, the system refuses to start normally.
checking on system event viewer it is reported a lot of
"browser services depends from server service which failed to start because of the following error: The dependency service or group failed to start"
I don't know if this means something related to the normal boot trouble.
ALSO STARTING "SFC /SCANNOW" FROM COMMAND LINE THE RESULTS ARE:
"WINDOWS RESOURCE PROTECTION: UNABLE TO RESTORE SOME OF DAMAGED FILES."
IN THE LOG ARE REPORTED SOME REFERENCES TO CORRUPTED FILES.

it's a lot frustrating to reinstall whole system.
I bought universal restore to be able to pass the reinstallation procedure.
on another pc with 7 x32 it worked well but on this no.
or, it worked until the system autoinstall drivers. it is quite strange. I would expect a crash at first start not later.
but in these conditions it's the same story, system unusable.

I reached the motivation of reboots, it is due to nvidia graphical driver. restoring an image made with 11345 build, all ok until installation of video drivers. I tried all of nvidia drivers, beta, whql, more recent, more old, from samsung site and from nvidia site, but installing the driver for nvidia 9200m gs card, it will make always infinite reboot few seconds before login screen, at the moment of charging video drivers.
it is a lot frustrating because I can't use suspend mode which is related to video drivers.
I don't know if now it is a problem related to acronis u.r. or related to nvidia-microsoft drivers.

Hello all!
Thank you for bringing up this question, I entirely understand your concern and would like to help you.
You are perfectly correct, in order to restore the system onto the dissimilar hardware you need to use Acronis Universal Restore which is currently designed and present for both Acronis True Image Home 2010 and Acronis Backup and Recovery products.
Should the system be able to boot into the safe mode that means the product succeeded in assigning the drivers, so the cause of you problem should lie in the mess of them.
I would like to notify you that in order to avoid the mess and boot issues one need to add only mass storage device drivers during the process of recovery like motherboard chipset, RAID controller, etc. and avoid adding any plug-and-play device drivers like video, sound, etc.
So could you please kindly try recovering with only the chipset and RAID controller (if any) drivers added? Then please unpack them from the package they are sent to you, so that the drivers were in *.inf and *.oem format. I would also advise you to take a look at the details Acronis Universal Restore User's Guide with the step-by-step screenshots, you may find it useful.
I would appreciate if you could kindly keep us updated regarding the issue so that we could assist you with all your questions.
Should you have any further concerns or the issue persists - please, let us know, we will definitely help you!
Thank you!
