Windows XP Embedded support
Hello,
I want to know if ABR 11 advance Agent is supported on Windows XP Embedded Version

Windows XPe is not officially supported, however, we do use ABR11AW Build 17318 on our workstations and it works fine with limitations. Below are some items we ran into in our testing:
1) The Agent Core and Agent installation will hang (installed locally off USB stick) if you have the enhanced write filter enabled. You can disable the filter temporarily, install and re-enable with success. We are using a RAM based filter, so we run out of RAM memory during installation when the filter is enabled. However, there are additional issues in item 2 you may be concerned about.
2) When you create a backup plan, the plan is written to in our case RAM memory, not the physical disk. If you cycle or lose power, the RAM is lost and the plan never runs. Updates of plan times and if the agent is "online" get confused and don't display the correct results. This all works correctly if the filter is permanently disabled, however, this defeats the purpose of the filter. Normally our customers make backups outside of the system or with item 4. If a customer insists on the remote solution, we make them aware of this issue and potential problems implementing a disabled filter system this way. I have found no other product on the market that is taylored to embedded systems with remote capability.
3) If you try to run a backup plan using the remote solution, the imaging engine thinks the disk is corrupt with the filter enabled. By disabling the filter, this does not happen, so it appears there is some conflict with the snapshot. Selecting the sector by sector option works, but the images are quite large. Echo Workstation (discontinued) does not have this issue.
4) Rescue media works perfect.
