Workstation recovery will not boot past F8 menu

Thread needs solution

Im sure this is already asked and answered but I could not find my particular issue. Feel free to point me to correct post.

PROBLEM:
Thought I should as some information. As a test of the restore features because I am new to the software I performed the following on a WIndows 7 box. It was the exact same hardware and configuration. Nothing was changed.
1. Booted using Acronis boot dvd and selected to restore MBR and HD image to disk 0.
2. Restore was fast as expected and reported no errors.
3. PC reboots to windows 7 start up selection menu (like f8) that says windows was not shut down correctly and which way do I want to boot, Normal, Safe mode etc.
4. Select Normal and screen goes blank for a second and some text that mentions the drive flashes so fast I cant read it pops up in upper left corner of monitor then PC reboots to same screen again.
5. Will not boot to Safe Mode or any of the selections and symptoms are the same.

This is my first time using Acronis products and I want to believe :) that its better than Ghost 14 (should change name to demon) so is this the same thing as Ghost do I pop in WIndows 7 dvd and tell it to fix the boot up? I of course can do that but it would be disappointing because this is what Ghost does.
Any ideas would greatly help. Thank you in advance.

Hello Claude,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

According to our database, you have tried the trial version. I assume it has been expired. If you want to give the issue a closer investigation, please send me a Private Message.

Actually, the recovered system should boot into the Normal Mode, but you are unable to get rid of the mentioned error message.

If the backup of system partition with Windows Vista or Windows 7 was created in the operating system itself, then the system remembers its exact state when it was backed up. Since it was never shut down after being put into the backup archive, it reports that it was not properly shut down after the created image is restored. This message appears with the prompt to choose an option for system startup. Just choose to Start Windows Normally. The error message will disappear.

And back to the boot problems.

It is recommended to perform the recovery again using ISOLINUX Bootable Media.

There are two types of Acronis Bootable Media:
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can generate in your Acronis product. This type of media is based on Acronis Loader;
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can download from your account on the Acronis website. This type of media is based on ISOLINUX.
ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.
ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
We have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging in to your account (the serial number should be registered). Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media. Download the file.
You can find the information on how to download the appropriate ISOLINUX file in this article. Please see this article on how to burn an ISO file to a CD disk.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
