Acronis vmprotect 9 appliance USB support?

Thread needs solution

Morning,

Just managed to install the appliance on ESXi 5.1, added USB controller (USB 2.0 and 1.1 support) and added the attached USB device (WD passport 1TB). When the applience boots clearly see it says something about USB, but after booted cannot add as a local storage as not visible from the GUI.

Could someone advise?

Thank you.

Sorry, just spoke to live support...this is not implemented...in 2013 a linux automount...right.

Hi Lisa,

Yes, this is correct. Currently such scheme is not supported - you cannot directly add a USB device to appliance and use it as locally attached storage. Our current plan is to add this feature into the next version of Acronis vmProtect (10th).

Thank you.
