Thank you for using Acronis software.

As posted in my other forum threads to you, I have this information for you:

  • There is a newer version available for Acronis vmProtect 7. Please ensure in this situation, that it is important to work every time with the latest build. Can you reproduce the issue using this version?
  • We have launched the Acronis vmProtect 8 Beta program. Have you subscribed there already? If not, feel free to try out the new version of vmProtect. Can you reproduce the issue using this version?
  • Your product have valid support subscription. So you where able to contact Acronis Support. You will find information about, how to do this, in our Customer Handbook.

Unfortunately it is not possible without further information, find out where the issue lies.

  • What Build you are using?
  • Are you using the virtual appliance or Windows agent?
  • What ESX Environment you are using?
  • What kind of client systems you want to backup?
  • How many clients you want to backup?
  • How many free space is left on the used datastores?

I suggest to collect at least this information and contact our support to do further investigation in your issue.

I have similar issues. With VMware I can take snap shots all day and I can backup 6 of the 8 server in the virtual environment but the 2 throw off the same errors.

Thank you for posting your question in our forum.

First, I want to ask you to re-install the VMware Tools and try to create manual in vSphere client a snapshot. If this does not work, I suggest to contact VMware itself to solve the snapshot issue.

I checked your account and saw, that you have a valid support subscription. In this situation, I may ask you to collect all the information, I requested above and contact Support in order to get this fixed.
