The archive is corrupted - backups failing

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

I recently upgraded our Acronis Backup for VMware VA from version 9.0.x to 9.2.10535. The VA is running on VMware 5.5.0.
After the upgraded completed successfully, the majority of the existing backup tasks fail with the following error:
Message: Failed to perform the operation with archive 'avfs:/smb?//xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/BACKUPS/TaskTwo.TIB'. Error: 'The archive is corrupted.'.

I've tried renaming the TIB to *.TIB.OLD so it creates a new .TIB file on the next backup but I still get the same error message.
Anyone else experienced the same issue?
The backups are stored on a NAS device and I can confirm the NAS device has free space available.

Cheers.

Hi Parko,

It appears there is a compatibility issue between the updated Linux kernel used in Acronis virtual appliance and your particular NAS device. The possible workarounds are to either use Windows Agent instead of virtual appliance or roll back to previous build (which contains older Linux kernel which works). For proper long-term solution please contact our support team for assistance.

Thank you.
