Best Practices for vmProtect6 and Online Backup

This question may need to be moved to Online Backup forum but since it is in reference to only vmProtect6 I figured I would start here.

I want to know what the best practices are for configuring the backup tasks when backing up a VM to Online Backup Storage.

Currently I'm only backing up a few individual VM's and I have the tasks running everyday. My main concern is the retention policy and how often to create a new full backup. I have the retention rule set to "Do not cleanup" and the Create Full backup if "Backups are older than 12 months." I was reading the Acronis Online Backup Storage documentation and this was the recommendation but that was for Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 on bare metal and not for vmProtect6 backing up VMs.

I'm curious what Acronis recommends and what others are doing? I know different environments need different retention policies but I would like to know what the "Best Practices" are so I can try and build a solid backup task for my VM's.
