Can vmProtect backup VMs that use RDMs?

We're using vmprotect 6 to backup the servers running on our virtual system but it fails when I try to set it up to backup the exchange server.
It errors out saying that it failed to create a snapshot for the vm.
Our exchange server is the only virtual server we have set up with RDMs so I was wondering if that could be causing a problem?
