Can't log in to either appliance. Read only filesystem /tmp/root/.Acronis/CredStorage

Thread needs solution

I have two Acronis VMProtect 8 virtual appliances. I cannot log into either of them this morning.

Both say the same thing:

The Acronis KB does not have any information on this error. Any ideas what to do to resolve this?

Hi KJSTech,

It looks like the problem is with the lack of free space on the appliance (so it cannot update the data inside the appliance which is required for login). You can clean up the appliance by following recommendations from http://kb.acronis.com/content/32819 (see the 3rd solution). Before the clean up can you please turn off the appliance, save it into .ovf template and contact Acronis support with this file - it will be required to investigate what went wrong with the appliance itself and what has "eaten" the free space (if that's the case)? We are closely looking into this type of issue and have already made some adjustments to prevent it in future, but each similar case needs to be analyzed separately.

Thank you.

Deleting wcs.log on each machine allowed me to log in.

Prior to doing this, I did export both to ovf. I will open a case and reference this thread so I can get some FTP space to upload.

Vasily,

Ticket opened.
