Copy Backup to second location error

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I enabled the feature to backup to a second location to three different backup jobs that have been running successfully for months. Two jobs failed to copy to a second location and one works. The one setting that is different between the failed and successful jobs is single file backup. The jobs that fail use, save each backup in separate files.

Hi Steve,

We are currently investigating the same issue reported by another customer and the roots of it appear to be quite deep. In your case it might be something specific since from the log I can see that there were problems with DNS (inability to resolve the NAS hostname to IP) + problems with connection to the ESXi host (likely for the same DNS-related reason) and this might have triggered the problem. I'd recommended to submit a request to our support team for investigation of the problem.

The workaround is to specify a new archive name on the 2nd destination so that a new archive chain is started, but it's only a workaround and we need to find the normal solution, so if you can submit a support request - that would be greatly appreciated.
