Thread needs solution

Hi forum,

I have a problem with one existing Dual Destination task, others are working well.

The operation has failed.

Have tried following:

- Delete archive at Dual Destination (automatically recreated ~30% of original size)

- Recreated backup task

- Deleted original archive and dual destination archive (let task create a new archive)

Not tried so far:

- Validate archive (as its size is ~280GB and was created without warnings)

Additional information:

- vmprotect 9.2.10535

- Windows Server 2008 R2

- Original task completes without warnings or errors

- Dual Destination is SMB share at 2-disk NAS, having 3 other tasks ~300GB each wich are working the same way without error.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Raphael,

The problem might be related to the source (1st destination) archive specifics which either is corrupt and cannot be replicated therefore, so it indeed makes sense to run validation of the source archive. Or there is another possibility that the issue is caused by the 2nd destination NAS device. We've investigated similar problem (internal task ID: ABR-80420) about a year ago and found that disabling NFS access for the share on NAS resolves the problem (typically the same share can be accessed by SMB or NFS on some NAS models). In any case it makes sense to submit a support ticket for this problem and continue investigation from there.

Thank you.

Hi Vasily,

Thanks for your thoughts!

Have started the validation task, will report on completion.

NFS is disabled on the NAS but RSYNC is enabled instead. Also different backup tasks "Dual Destination" to the same location without problems. So it might be a problem with the 1st location archive which was a new created archive and backup reports no warnings or errors.

Best regards.

The validation task was successful, reported no warnings or errors.

Deleted archive in Dual Destination, so next run should copy over the 1st location archive.

Then started Dual Destination task for this archive, but gives same error again.
