Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am using vmProtect 8.0 build 80.8128, and trying to restore mailbox and or mailbox content.
When I restore mailbox content it failed with the following error:

I could see that the temporary vm was created.

As for the mailbox restore, the restored process was succesful and giving me the exe file. But when you run the exe file it failed to crete the pst file with the following error:

Hi Specializt,

The error indicates that vmProtect was unable to find the Exchange database at path discovered from the source VM (the paths to databases are recorded in archive metadata and are retrieved originally from Active Directory). First of all we need to check what is the real path to the database inside the source Exchange VM (i.e. whether D:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Mailbox\Mailbox Database 2105488895\ is the correct path). Another thing to confirm is whether the temporary VM does contain this path - you can check this by running e-mails browsing part of Exchange Recovery wizard and log into the temporary VM.

The probable reason for the failure is that the Exchange databases are located on Windows dynamic disks or on some shared resource which is excluded from the vSphere snapshot (like independent persistent disk) - therefore we need to check a screen shot of Windows Disk Management from the source VM and reveal the types of the virtual disks which this VM is running on (right click on VM from vSphere client->Edit Settings and check the disks properties - they should not be independent persistent).

Thank you.
