Hello Robert,

Thank you for your post!

It is possible to import the host with all tasks and settings to the new backup server only through virtual appliance using vSphere Client. You can use this article as the example for export an .ovf template.

Robert, we are expecting that the feature of import/export of the data will be added in vmProtect 9.

If you have any other questions, please let me know!

Thank you!

Just out of curiousity, we just purchased V8, and a year of support/upgrades if V9 comes out we will be eligible for this right?

Hello Steve,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Forum!

Steve, if by the time of vmProtect 9 release your support program would be available, you will be entitled for a free upgrade. Unfortunately at the present moment I cannot provide you the exactly date of the new version’s release. In case by the time of official release you support program has expired, please contact our sales department. They will assist you with the upgrade.

If you have any additional questions , please fell free to contact me.

Thank you!

By the way, in case that there will be a new version, is there a chance that a user or interested person gets notified via email?
