Fail to mount a VM from Backup

Thread needs solution

I try to mount a VM from backup on the DR site but I got this error. Can anyone please help me? I have a DR recovery test and need those VMs to be live.

Thanks,

Hi,

The last error in stack is returned from VDDK API and indicates general connection failure (not necessarily "rejected" due to permissions). This issue requires separate investigation with our support team (I've not seen such symptoms before yet) and likely it has to deal with the particular setup, i.e. the place where Acronis Backup for VMware is installed (appliance or Windows Agent) + where the backup image is located + what is the connection to the DR site from the backup agent.

P.S. The VM mounting process is sensitive to the connection between the host where you mount the VM and the actual backup image location - the slower this connection is - the more chances it will fail due to disconnects.

Thank you.
