How can I change MTU of an NIC on the virtual appliance for vmProtect8?

Thread needs solution

I am planning to back up VMs to a CIFS storage connected via 10GB LAN. So I would like to set MTU of an NIC on the virtual appliance for vmProtect8 to 9000, but I could not find the way to do so. Pease teach me how to set MTU on the virtual appliance.

Hi!

The MTU settings are applied on vSwitch level and starting from vSphere 5.0 version it can be done through GUI, see http://blog.vmpros.nl/2011/07/14/vmware-edit-mtu-settings-by-gui-in-vsp… . You should just make sure that the appliance NIC is connected virtual network supported by this vSwitch - in this case proper MTU will be used.

Thank you.
