How restore a single Folder from a Entire VM Backup? Is it possible?

Thread needs solution

We have a task making a full backup of a Entire VM.

there are a folder on this VM with images updated one time in the month.

The issue is if we need to restore this single folder or a single image from this folder is it possible? If yes, how it work's?

Can I tell the user that his folder content is still secure with this full backup or I need to look for another kind of copy just for this content?

I Personally beliave that this content will be secure but I not sure about that, so I need  help on this issue.

Thank's in advance,

Hi,

You can perform granular files/folders recovery from entire VM backups - simply run the File Recovery wizard. I'm not sure if I properly understand the concern about "whether folder content is secure". The entire VM backup contains all folders in it - there is no way (unless you specifically specified some files/folders exclusion rules) that it won't be there if the backup was successfully taken - therefore there is no reason to re-backup the folder twice.

Thank you.

You understood correctly!

I was not sure about the folders backup, I was afraid that only the VM structure was copied.

Thank you very much!
