Incremental-backup works only three times

I've got problems with the incremental backup of a debian-VM from ESXi-Host
After the first full-backup the next three incremental-backups (one-file-mode) work fine. Then every backup breaks or stops. If one of thethree recovery-points will be deleted, the next incremental-backup will work again.
Any solution to change this?

This may be related to this other thread.... What are the log messages you see when the job fails? Also are you using the virtual appliance or the windows agent?
