Issue with Backups ESX 5
Hi,
My employer owns vmProtect 6 but the guy who registered it is on holidays and I was tasked with setting it up but I don't know the logins for the support site so I hope you all can help.
I am trying to backup our ESX 5 server which has 4 VMs running on it. I've been able to do it in the past but today I changed the task to a different sftp server and now I am unable to backup. I have ruled out the sftp change as I have moved it back to the org. sftp and the same results.
I was watching vSphere client during the backup, it does the snapshots of each vm and then deletes the snapshots right away and the backup fails. I found another post where someone said to do full snapshots and then delete them but this has not worked.
I'm looking in the log files in vsphere and I don't see any errors but I am not sure what I am looking for.
The only thing I cannot do is a complete reboot of the ESX box as it's in production already.

I've tried recreating the task about 15 times. Also with the archive errors below the sftp server does work with the logins which I provide to vmprotect but I think it's part of a bigger issue that those errors are being displayed.

Ok so that is solved. sftp was the issue but no idea why. Switched it to normal ftp and it works.

It could be the firewall or the sftp service was just not started. Which was my case though.
