plugin installation failed with 2 NIC

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I use two NIC in vmProtect :
- on LAN 172.x.x.x
- on Backup independant LAN 192.168.0.x

I use vSphere Client on a machine who does not have the Backup LAN (192.168.0.x). Acronis send the plugin installation to the Backup LAN instead of LAN (172.x.x.x).

So, this error appears :

L'erreur suivante s'est produite en téléchargeant le plug-in de script depuis https://192.168.0.1:443/wcs/?command=do-wnload_static&type=-integration… :

La demande a échoué en raison d'une panne de connexion. (Impossible de se connecter au serveur
distant)"

How can I precise to Acronis to use the other NIC to propose installation plugin ?
Thank you

Regards

Hi,

The vCenter integration plug-in uses the IP/interface of the vCenter which you configure under Configure->ESXi hosts, so the only applicable solution here is to register vCenter using the 172.x.x.x interface, however this would mean that infrastructure traffic (the control channel) will also go through this interface. The backup traffic though (assuming that appliance can attach the backed up VM disks to itself in hot-add mode) will go through 192.168.x.x interface if you specify the backup storage using this addressing scheme. Therefore you should first click on "disable vCenter integration" button under Configure->ESXi hosts, then remove the vCenter and add it back specifying the 172.x.x.x address.

Thank you.
