Replication creating new vmpreplica_X-folder for daily replication

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Acronis Backup for vmware did a fine job creating backups and replicas for weeks. After a server failure it started to create a new folder for each and every replication.

I tried deleting the older replicas, with the result of Acronis not finding even the current ones.

After that I deleted the jobs and created new replica-jobs, witch again created new folders on a daily base.

How can I get Acronis to again create one replica per VM, which then is kept actual on a daily base? Having to remove old replicas on a daily base can´t be the right way...

Hi,

The symptoms you describe are quite unusual ones. I can only guess that the problem is related to VMs identification, where replica VM cannot be found on the target host due to problems with InstanceUUID properties (duplicates or problems with vSphere instances database) of the source and/or replica VMs. Though in any case it makes sense to contact our support team for assistance with the issue. Please attach the full product log (View->Show Logs->Save All To File) and some screen shots (of the datastore contents) illustrating the issue.

Thank you.
