[RESOLVED] Upgrade to VM Protect 8
It seems the product documentation page has not been updated yet. I was wondering whether upgrading to VM Protect 8 requires that you create a new archive or if the VMP7 archives can be used for VMP8. Can someone provide this info? Thx
Jim

In my products & downloads, it still shows vmProtect 7.

I currently have build 8.0.8112 installed but wouldn't mind upgrading the beta to final.

Hello KJSTech,
Thank you for your reply.
You did not click on the upgrade tab to upgrade the product. So you could not see the new product and license.
I have clicked for you and now you can see the Acronis vmProtect 8.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

Ok I upgraded my beta build 8112 to final build 8128.
Now just a word of advice, and this could be a side effect of upgrading a beta...
When trying to log into the web interface after the upgrade, an error message about "version" in JSON not being correct kept coming up. From an earlier incident in the beta, I realize that sometimes the GUI code is "cached" in IE. So a simple SHIFT+F5 force a full refresh in IE9 fixed this issue.
I'm in!

I had the same JSON error on one of our hosts aswell, just started worked, the cache thing makes sense now

Hello KJSTech, Hello Nigel,
Thank you for your feedback.
I have forwarded your comment to our management team.
To empty the browser cache is recommended and a good step to get loaded the latest web console.
If there is anything else, we can do for you, please let me know.
Thank you.
