Run VM from Backup - In a vSAN datastore?
Hello,
I am trying to create a VM from a backup but I keep on getting the following errors:
Failed to publish virtual machine.
Additional info:

I only get the above error when I select a vSAN datastore to mount the VM backup into. If I select an NFS datastore I get no errors and the VM mounts.
Are there compatibility issues with vSAN? I cannot see any errors in vSphere on the datastore, I only see errors in Acronis.
Thanks

Hi to all,
we are evaluating to deploy Vmware Vsan inside our organization.
For this reason I am curious to know if the case above was solved and/or is a common problem; and of course it will be useful to know if there will be some limitations or problems using Acronis Backup for Vmware to backup/restore virtual machines from/versus vsan. Thank you in advice

Hi,
The issue has not been fixed yet and we plan to address it in the upcoming Acronis Backup 12 which we will launch as Beta next week (it's not fixed in Beta yet though). Note that this problem affects only Run VM from Backup functionality and only when you specify vSAN-backed datastore as storage for temporary changes made to VM (while it's mounted). Backup/recovery of VMs located on vSAN should work properly.
(Internal bug ID: ABR-79284)
Thank you.
