Is SBS2011 Supported?

Thread needs solution

Hi
I am testing this on SBS2011 and it seems to work however when I try to Mount the Backup as a Virtual it gets to and allows me to log in. At this point it just shows a blank desktop........no start menu or anything. No method to even Browse. I can run Task manager however can't seem to do much else.
Any suggestions. Also there are no Logs in the "View Logs"

EDIT: More testing and it seems that if the "Network" is not enabled then issue arises. If I enable Network then it seems fine. This would be a problem if main system was Live. How does one get around this?

I created a new VSwitch with no adapters attached, so I could bring it online with power on, but still get the no desktop icons, and most software i try and run wont start.

Secondarily to that, if i try running in safe mode, i get errors trying to log on.

I can start the task manager and run a cmd prompt, and ping the ip address required, but I cant do anything further.

I too have the same concern that I cannot bring a SBS 2011 environment online to recover a mailbox out of it, without perhaps compromising the whole environment (ie taking down the current SBS)

EDIT: It actually worked ok creating the 0 adapter Vswitch, it just took longer to bring up.

The 'Mounted' SBS 2011 is online, but cant see the rest of the network (which is good)

It means i can do a PST export of the data i need, and then transfer it via USB/Vsphere.

Hello MSD and Marcus,

Thank you for your comments.

Unfortunately Microsoft SBS 2011 is not officially supported by Acronis vmProtect 6. We have not tested this operating system in our testing lab, that is why we will not be able to investigate any problems until it is officially supported.

I apologize for any inconvenience and if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.
