Second Destination Backup Fails

Thread needs solution

Hi,

i have a Problem doing a Task with a second Destination to a NAS-Share, but i have to say, that it already worked in my first task to the same location. A second task to the same location with a different archive name fails.

Task 'MSV02_MSV98_MVM902_Archive Dual Destination' failed: 'Failed to replicate backups.

Hi Peter,

The problem here is that there is an issue accessing the base source archive (MUCSVXX.TIB) on the locally attached storage E:\ . There could be some inconsistency in accessing the storage which results in such error. We assume that this could be caused by specifics of Linux kernel used in virtual appliance and I'll send you a link to the build where new updated kernel (which we confirmed to fix similar problems) is included. Please check it in private message and let me know how it works for you.

Thank you.

Hi KCS,

I'd recommended you to subscribe for vmProtect 9 Beta program as described here: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/42675 . The updated kernel is included into this beta version and we have since then updated the Beta build (it's not yet announced, but is considered as release candidate) and now it is 9279. Instead of downloading the Beta build please use the following link, but make sure to subscribe for Beta in order to get the new SNs:

You can update your existing appliance to this new build and it should work properly for you.

Thank you.
