Transaction logs of Public Folder

Thread needs solution

Hi,
we noticed that Acronis, with Exchange aware backup enabled, doesn't delete transaction logs of public folders.

For mailbox DB, logs are deleted correctly.

Is that a problem of Acronis?

Hi Sove,

The transaction logs are supposed to be purged after successful backup completion and we do it by calling native "eseutil" tool with appropriate parameters inside the VM, i.e. there is no control over the process from Acronis side at this point and the decision on which logs to purge and which to keep is made on "eseutil" behalf. I'd recommended to localize the issue by running native Windows Backup tool inside the VM and taking System State backup which practically should do the same job. After that check the logs truncation state and errors in the event logs if any. If the logs are purged properly after this step, please contact Acronis Support for further assistance.
