Upgrade when new version comes out

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying vmProtect, I've already tried the trail version and I think it's really awesome.
However I'm wondering about one thing. If I buy vmProtect 7 for all my servers right now, will that include upgrades as well when for example vmProtect 8 comes out? Or will I have to buy all new licenses again or will you offer some sort of upgrade price for existing costumers?

And one more thing, do I need to have my vSphere hosts licensed with VMwares license for this to work? Right now I have a "Free" license on most of them.

Thanks,

Hi Patric,

I can anser your second question regarding vmware licence: You will indeed have to buy a vSphere licence. The free version of vSphere does not have the vStorage-APIs enabled which are being used by vmprotect.

My understanding from a chat with Acronis is that it comes with 1 Years included support which includes any future upgrades/releases so you should be all good in that reqard.
