Hi Thomas,

The warning indicates that the virtual disk could not be opened using hot-add mode (assuming that you run virtual appliance) and instead this disk was opened in network (NBD) mode. Theoretically this may happen while the product asks for the ESXi host which controls the virtual disk (i.e. has access to specific datastore) from the vCenter and the vCenter returns the address of the host which is either inaccessible or in maintenance mode. Nevertheless the backup should be completed successfully and available for recovery. The warning only indicates that the performance of the backup might be impacted.

I'd recommended to check the following:

1) Make sure there are no ESXi hosts in maintenance/disconnected mode under your vCenter.

2) If the above doesn't help then replace the vCenter registration with the specific ESXi host where the problematic VM resides under Configure->ESXi hosts in Acronis Backup for VMware (vmProtect) web interface. In other words delete vCenter from there and add individual host using root credentials, then create a new test backup task and see whether the problem is reproduced or not. This check would let us localize the issue by confirming whether it is vCenter-related or not. Also clarify whether the problem appears only for virtual disks on specific datastore ([san-raid6]) or for any VM.

Thank you.
