VMP 9 Full VM Restore Errors
Trying to restore a full VM. The backup was made using the VMP boot disk. When I run the restore, it quickly fails with the error below "failed to copy disk"
Ive tried this using 2 separate VMP9 installations and to 2 separate ESX hosts - same error.
I also tried manually creating the VM on the host, with a blank drive in the VM, and restoring to that. Same error.
Thoughts?

I have exactly the same problem (It is not a p2v problem, the backup was made with vmprotect 8 and 9 with same results, the source was a virtual machine running on vmware esxi 5), backed up a linux virtual machine with vmp9 and got following error when trying to restore, the validate archive shows no problems with the backup and the file restore works normally but i urgently need to restore the vm! Did you manage to solve the problem?
So now i have the tib backup of virtual machine but i cannot restore! I tried different versions of esxi, but same result. The task fails after few seconds.

Hi Max,
Such issues are always related to specifics of the particular backup archive (particular VM) and we've made fixes for similar case (internal ticket ID TTASK-6641) in between 9767 and 10007 build of Acronis Backup for VMware (vmProtect). If you are not yet using the latest 10007 build then it makes sense to update and try the VM recovery once again. I will also send you (in a private message) a link to custom build where we've made additional fixes which may help here. Please let me know the result in a private message so that I can track this problem properly.

Hi Vasily,
thank you very much for your help. I can confirm i am already using build 9.0.10007. I tried downloading from your ftp link, installed appliance but i get the same error message when trying to restore the vm. In the archive there are 3 virtual machines, a second virtual machine restores just fine...
Do you have any other advice? Can i help you with some log messages or providing the entire tib archive?

Thank you for the update. So as I can see the problem affects a particular VM in the backup archive. The fastest way to resolve the problem (as you properly suggested) is to get the archive so that we can check it on our side and verify the fixes. To do so it makes sense to contact our support team for assistance and once you get there, please send me the ticket ID in a private message, so that I can track it properly.
