VMprotect 7 iSCSI Appliance Mount

Thread needs solution

I mounted an iSCSI drive to the VM "AcronisAppliance" and its saying i have very little free space left. How can i peer into that drive (i made it 'D' drive) and delete whatever maybe in there?

I spoke to several tech support people via chat and they really have no clue, this is my last resort.

thanks!

BTW: I did "browse" it via vSphere Client but its telling me that there is 4GB free but only approx 4-5GB is showing up within this 500GB iSCSI drive. Not sure if there is something Acronis is writing in there or what that is causing this.

Hello Keith,

Thank you for your posts and welcome to the forum.

If I understood your question correctly, you are having difficulties with deleting archives from the disk which is attached to the virtual appliance.

You can do it by clicking View->Recovery points, select your disk, select the machine and select the recovery points. The backups will be deleted as soon as all recovery points have been removed from them. You can press Ctrl and use the mouse to select multiple recovery points.

Please check the screenshot below for additional information:

I am very sorry to hear that you had issues with support, could you get back to me with the case number please.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hi Anton:

I just saw your post now and went to reinstall VMprotect to simulate if the server went down and i had to rebuild, now i have a Acronis support guy on the phone who has had me on hold for about 30min not sure what happened to him but he has no idea how to get my iSCSI drive reattached so i can access the backups. I'm not going to even tell you how much time it took to even explain my question to him. He kept telling me that i cant do this because its a "reinstall" on VMprotect.......these tech support people worry me sometimes.
