Hi Antony,

In your case the problem is that the small agent which is deployed into the Exchange guest OS during Exchange-aware backup has failed with some errors. The logfile from exchange_backup_agent.exe is saved in %temp% directory (the full path is in the log file which you qouted above).

One of the most likely reasons for this behavior is that you have installed Acronis vmProtect Exchange Backup Agent (.msi extracted from the base installation package) which is conflicting with the new version. So the solution is to uninstall this Agent (this agent is optional and should be used to overcome UAC limitations on Win2k8, so you don't really need it).

If this doesn't help please provide us with the log file from that TEMP folder (it will be placed near exchange_backup_agent.exe) from the Exchange VM so that we can check it out.

Please also try to run this agent manually (copy it from %temp% directory to somewhere else) with the following parameters:

exchange_backup_agent.exe --log logname.log --loglevel D --check-env

This will save the log file into logname.log which we need to look at. Additionally we’ll need Windows System Information from this machine after reproducing the issue.

Thank you.
