vmProtect 8 lost all its settings

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Today our vmProtect 8 appliance got stuck, after resetting the VM all configurations lost ! is it possible to restore them?

Hi,

The configuration of the backup tasks is stored on the secod 2GB (4GB starting from 9th version) disk of the virtual appliance (typically HardDisk_2.vmdk). From your description I can guess that this disk didn't mount properly after reboot and usually this can be fixed with help from our support team (at least we can try to migrate the configuration to a fresh appliance), so it definitely makes sense to contact our support team for assistance. Most likely we'll need to get an export of the broken appliance in .ovf/.ova template for troubleshooting and investigation.
