VMProtect 8.01 - Recovery Punkte werden nicht angezeigt - kein restore möglich !

Thread needs solution

hallo an alle,

wir versuchen gerade ein restore (datei restore) vom server auszuführen.
es ist uns jedoch nicht möglich (siehe bild) überhaupt eine recovery punkt auszuwählen.
(die datei ist jedoch auf der NAS vorhanden...)

kann uns jemand helfen ?

It looks like the archive is pretty old one. Can you please clarify which version/product was used to create this archive? Note that file recovery feature won't work for backups of physical machine (which can be created with bootable media). Another thing to try is to change the backup location from NAS to some normal share (it can also be a compatibility problem with particular NAS device).

hello

we have created the backups with version 7
but we can not open it - with version 7 - and not with version 8
(we can not find restore points....)

the files are old 6 months

Thank you for the clarification - this scenario should be working fine. In this case the first thing to try (to localize the issue) is to move the archive to some other location (share on Windows for example) and try accessing it from there. If that doesn't help then please collec the debug logs as described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/30926 article and send them over to me in a private message. These logs would give us more clues on what's going wrong in this particular case.

hello

if we move - the backup image - to al lokal hard drive (PC) - and share the folder - acronis vmprotect - ask me for username + password ??
(the windows share ist without password - and every user have full control)

idea ?

Hi el la,

You should specify some credentials for logging into the share because the credentials are still required even if it's shared for everyone. In case of Windows-based shares any local/domain user who has access to the share should work.
