VMProtect 9 required ports?

Thread needs solution

The company I work for is currently merging with another 2 companies and in a bid to save money on off-site backup storage our backup storage has been moved to one of the other sites.

The sites networks are connected and the storage is reachable normally but the virtual appliance won't connect to it any more.

It was ok before it was moved and now it gives me the following error when I try to connect it...

Code: 27066484 (0x019D0074)

I updated to build 10007 to make sure there were no issues with that and nothing else has changed other than the location of the storage, so I'm wondering if there are ports that need opened up on the other sites firewall to let the traffic through?

If so, does anyone know what those ports are?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Hi Eddie,

The backup locations are enumerated by Acronis Backup for VMware using special URI identifiers, so looks like what happened is that after the environment change there is a conflict when trying to read the identifier of that changed location. The first thing you should do is to re-add the backup location from View->Recovery Points, so that it is refreshed in Acronis Backup for VMware infrastructure:

1) Go to View->Recovery Points
2) Remove the backup locations (it will unregister them)
3) Edit the backup task (at least one task for each backup location) and confirm the selection of the backup location on 3rd step

After the backup task is saved the new location will be registered in the infrastructure and the issue should be gone.

If this doesn't help then please contact our support team for assistance.

Thank you.

Thanks for the advice.

I tried what you said and it still didn't work, but I thought I'd try using the IP address instead of the host name for the storage and it worked with that instead.

It used to work ok with the host name, but as long as it works, I'm good.

Thanks for the help.
