vmProtect Backup Fails

Thread needs solution

Running the trial of vmProtect 6 and got the following error:

The full backup the night before worked fine, and this was supposed to have been the first incremental. We're running the vmProtect appliance under vSphere 4.1. There doesn't appear to be much in the knowledge base yet for this product.

Thank you very much for your post. I will certainly help you with this problem.

It occurs due a known issue in our software and it can also happen if you edit a backup task and add/remove deduplication options.

We have fixed it and it the fix will be available in the next update of vmProtect, unfortunately we do not have any information about release dates yet.

In the meantime you can use this workaround, either restart the task or create a new one.
