[vmProtect7] Failed to delete directory warning on Exchange backup

Thread needs solution

I consistently get a warning such as the warning below when I backup my exchange server.

It's probably a non-critical thing but is there a way to resolve this issue? I'd rather see success instead of warnings in the status & backup log.

Failed to delete directory 'C:\Users\ADMINI~1.DOM\AppData\Local\Temp\9AA81ED9-7249-4308-B81D-806340775157\'.

Hi ra,

The warning posted above is related to application-aware (Exchange-aware in 8th version) backup processing: the temporary directory cannot be deleted from the processed guest VM. Likely you have a different message: note the last string, which has the greatest importance: "A file access error occurred on the host or guest operating system".

Currently we are investigating such incidents to see what is causing it (there were a couple of reports besides yours one), so I'd recommended to contact our support team, so that we can give you solution once it is available.

Thank you.
