Dear Acronis Backup for VMware users,

We would like to introduce an update for Acronis Backup for VMware 9 (Update 2) with full vSphere 6.0 support which we have just released on our web site. As usual the update is available under "My Account" and "Updates" sections:

http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/updates/index.html

Besides vSphere 6.0 support we've added multiple fixes for problems reported by our customers. The list of most important of them is available in the release notes here (only major fixes are mentioned):

http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/updates/changes.html?p=26033

NOTE: As it was recently discovered in http://forum.acronis.com/forum/86748#comment-265469 thread there is a known issue with Changed Block Tracking (CBT) functionality on vSphere 6.0 which is confirmed by VMware: quiesced snapshot of some VMs which have CBT enabled doesn't work due to ESXi host running out of memory. As a workaround you can perform backup with CBT disabled in the backup options and wait until fix from VMware is available.

EDIT: The CBT problem is fixed in ESXi 6.0 patch available here: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2116126 (Bill, thank you for the info)

P.S. if you have any questions regarding this announcement please leave a comment to this thread.

Thank you.
