Acronis Backup 12.5 - 12KB TIBX files removed
Hi. I have a feeling this is a longshot, but I'm hoping that there is a workaround. In a nutshell, I had setup a repository for full disk images and everything was working fine. To this I added a OneDrive sync on the backup folder and this also worked fine - until at some point OneDrive started syncing back previously deleted files. In the midst of cleaning it up some of the 12KB TIBX files also became removed and by the time this was noticed it was no longer possible to recover them. This a Full + Diff plan on a 35 day roll.
Now the backups continue, but the cleanup never happens on the affected groups of files.
Obviously newer systems which have been added since this occurred are working fine. To try and resolve this I have even tried removing devices from their backup plans and even in combination with deleting the devices themselves and reinstalling the agents, then recreating them and adding them to the backup plans, but this doesn't resolve the issue and doesn't regenerate with a new TIBX - which is frustrating. I am left with no choice but continuous manual intervention - cleaning up behind the schedule of the backup plans.
I know this could be resolved by creating a new backup plan, but its not that simple as there are quite a lot of machines and the backup plans are documented and controlled. It would be much easier if there is a way to fix this problem, since the system can perform backups without the files and it is only retention plans which are affected.
I can see the 12KB files differ between machines, but I assume given the fixed size that the data in them is reasonably static with a fixed structure and fields. Is it possible by ANY means to simply get the system to regenerate these files, as it does when the 1st retention plan kicks in after 30 days, or to manually recreate them in e.g. a hex editor? I'm really hoping for some technical information on the 12KB TIBX files so that I can fix the issue rather than having to restart these backup plans from scratch again.
Thanks
