Acronis cyber backup 12.5 - Recover Problem, archive file cannot expand.

Thread needs solution

Hi

See photo. The two machine Archive name "DJ6...." and "TD21..." ("TD21..." from other machine, they have different icon.) During the restoration process at "DJ6...." machine, (by bootable USB x64 WinPE). The "DJ6..." can expand to.... Backup #2; Backup #1 and allowed to restore, and the "TD21..." cannot expand and not allow to restore.

My questions below:

Q1. The meaning of the two different icon,

Q2. Is there any problem on the "TD21..." archive file?

Q3. Is this possible restore "TD21..." to "DJ6 machine and how?

Thank you very much!

Hello Tat Wai Leung!

Thank you for posting.

The situation with the empty files can be a sign of a corrupt archive.

Please perform the following steps:

- ensure that the backup archive is accessible from the "DJ6" machine, and then use the Acronis bootable media to initiate the restore process.

- Check the archive TD21 in the location where it's stored and open the backup file to see if there is any content in there. ( If not, it's a sign the file is corrupt and can't be recovered in the B.media ). Please follow this KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/1517

- Refresh the vault manually in the B.media ( at the top right corner ).

If the issue persists, I suggest you to contact our support with the system report of the B.media and the output of the troubleshooting steps performed above https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153.

Hope this helps!
