Backup Affected by Name Change?

Thread needs solution

We have a Windows 10 workstation that was named client-xyz and that name was changed by the client to client-abc. The Acronis backups stopped on the day that the name change occurred, and it doesn't look like any subsequent backups occurred.

Why are there no further backups if the agent wasn't removed?

Is there some process that we need to follow in this kind of situation?

Have you tried removing and readding the computer?
