Deploying Appliance to 2nd host attached to vCenter Server 6.5

Thread needs solution
Hi All,

When trying to ADD Device which is a 2nd EZXi 6.5 host at a remote location the operation times out. I am deploying it from the main appliance in the network.

Is this the correct procedure to get an appliance installed to the second host so backups are completed locally on the host

The second host is on a separate network connected via a VPN.

I thought the SOAP is and authentication error?

Chris

Hello Chris,

thank you for using Acronis Backup 12.5. I will be happy to help you!

Could you please describe the way you are adding the appliance? The best solution would be to deploy separate appliances for both hosts. There are two ways to deploy an appliance:

Make sure you specify credentials to the ESXi host.

Please let me know the results. If you face any errors, could you please copy the full error message and describe your steps in detail.

Thank you!

Hi Team,

It seems in the new version of Acronis Cyver Protect V15 manging a existing remote appliance has changed.

I have a remote location with the Appliance installed. Both Hosts have are managed by the one Vsphere Server.

How can I connect to the remote appliance and manage it from the one web console. I do not want to deploy a new one.

Chris

Hello Chris,

thank you for your posting! Have you tried adding a virtual appliance to the management server as described in 59828: Acronis Cyber Protect 15, Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5: how to manually add a machine to management server ?
