Help - Restore acronis true image 12.5
Good morning, I'm starting my apprenticeship with acronis true image 12.5
When it comes to backing up files on other servers, it's very clear to me, but you need to recover a specific file, need to go back to the entire backup plan:
Plane: 2 ° 4 ° 5 °
1- Server1: c: MySystem / User
2- Server1: c: MySystem / Data / Files
I would like to return a specific backup on: Server1: c: MySystem / Data / Files (ex: costs.xls)
I have to go back to Plan 2 Server1: c: MySystem / Data / Files
Or just return the specific file in the costs.xls case?
Thank you

OK, when the backup is done on disk I can open the file choosing and backing up easily.
But when Backup is sent to the FITA drive I can only restore the routine that is sent to FITA. Would you like to restore a specific file within the routine that was sent to FITA? Or when the backup is sent to FITA does not have this possibility to open and restore only a specific file?
Thank you
Wilherme

Hello Wilherme.
As I understood, these FITA drives are tapes.
When you create a disk backup on a tape drive, you can enable File recovery from disk backups stored on tapes option in order to be able to recover a separate file from there.
Otherwise, if you created a disk backup without this option enabled, you can Rescan the tape with this disk backup and make this option enabled.
Both these operations create the supplementary file on your local drive that stores database with hashes for a disk backup stored on tape.
Please also note that recovering an individual file from a disk backup located on tape is a very time-consuming operation.
