Hi.

I have a question about tape backup database(cache) import to new management server installation.

I installed 12.5 management server as OS need to reinstalled in the backup system but it looks like there is no guide for import the tape backup cache.

I tried copy entire "C:\ProgramData\Acronis", copy "C:\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery" folder only from backup of system drive but these two attempts was no success with the unavailable backup agent registration error.

So I tried again as remain the "C:\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\TapeLocation" folder only into new management server and the management server installed and run well.

But there is no way to import this tape backup cache in new management server.

Would you please let me know the method of importing tape backup cache of previous 12.5 management server to new installed one?

I must use this tape cache to continue backup and future restore.

Thanks.

Hello!

This seems to be relevant in your case: https://kb.acronis.com/content/27445

However as this is a cache, it will probably get rebuilt when you readd the tape location. Sounds like a similar problem to readding a deduplicated location, which has it's deduplication db rebuilt when you reattach.

Hi.

Thanks for your opinion.

But this guide is for the default Tapelocation cache folder moving method in case of disk capacity full up of management server.

My problem is that there is previous 12.5 Tapelocation cache folder and I need to use this in the newly installed same 12.5 management server to contiune backup and restore.

By the way, I tried to use other location as this guide if it will import Tapelocation cache but as I assumed it's not doing such job...

Anyway thanks for your reply.
